Two educators land global teaching recognition


TWO local Indian educators have received international recognition for their contributions to education, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Dr Gomathy Sankaran, a multiple award-winning science teacher at SJK(T) Kangkar Pulai in Johor, received the International Eminence Excellence Award 2025 award in India.

Gomathy was awarded the honour for her work in STEM subjects. She said her win reflected the hard work of every teacher and pupil.

Perak-based lecturer and environmental activist Prof Datuk Dr Santharasekaran Subramaniam received a leadership award in Vietnam.

He was honoured by the International Peace Human Rights Education Council’s Vietnam chapter for his leadership in environmental issues in Malaysia and in the region.
