Woman's decomposed body found under palm fronds in Telemong plantation


KUANTAN: The decomposed body of a woman was found beneath a pile of oil palm fronds at a plantation in Batu 19, Jalan Karak-Kuala Pilah, Telemong, on Monday (Nov 3).

Pahang Police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said police received a call from a member of the public regarding the discovery at about 5pm.

"Initial checks at the scene confirmed that the remains were those of a woman, but her identity has yet to be established.

"Several items believed to belong to the victim were also found near the site, including a black hooded sweatshirt, a green pair of sports trousers, a Casio wristwatch and a pair of black slippers,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 4).

Yahaya said the body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital here.

The case has been classified as sudden death pending the post-mortem report. — Bernama
