SUBANG JAYA: An accident at a roller coaster in a theme park here has left 10 people injured.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Mamat said that a police report on the incident was lodged on Aug 23.
“The incident occurred on Aug 22, when 22 foreign and local parkgoers aged between 11 and 44, were riding the roller coaster at the theme park.
“Initial investigations found that 10 riders were injured following the accident. The injured victims were taken to medical facilities around Subang Jaya for treatment.
“All 10 victims sustained minor injuries and there were no deaths,” he said in a statement.
He added that the matter was still under investigation and urged the public to not speculate as it could interfere with police investigations.
“Those with information on the incident are urged to contact Subang Jaya police at 03 7862 7100 directly. Anonymity will be kept for those sharing information” he said.
