SERDANG: Three men, including a woman’s ex-boyfriend and her so-called adoptive brother, have been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was discovered in Seri Kembangan.
The suspects, all locals aged between 25 and 30, were detained on Thursday following the discovery of the victim’s naked body with her hands bound at Blue Water Estate on Wednesday.
Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Muhamad Farid Ahmad said police are still looking for several individuals believed to be linked to the case.
“The woman’s identity has been confirmed as a local, based on identification by her younger sister,” he said yesterday.
He said police are seeking a remand order for the three suspects to assist in the investigation.
“The victim’s family had lodged a police report on her disappearance at a police station in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 25, four days before her body was found,” ACP Muhamad Farid said.
The victim, described as about 144cm tall with shoulder-length blonde hair, was discovered on Wednesday after a passer-by along Jalan Anggerik noticed a foul smell and alerted authorities, leading to the gruesome discovery.
