Fire breaks out at PETRONAS Tower 3


KUALA LUMPUR: A fire broke out at the Petronas Tower 3 here, involving a restaurant located on the upper floor of the building on Saturday (Nov 1) morning. 

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director, Senior Assistant Commissioner Hassan 'As'ari Omar, confirmed the incident and said that no casualties have been reported so far.

He added that fire engines and personnel had been dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze, and firefighting efforts are underway.

Earlier, photos and videos of the incident had gone viral.

The 60-storey PETRONAS Tower 3, also known as Menara Carigali, is located next to the PETRONAS Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. . - Bernama
