Cops nab three men linked to woman’s alleged murder in Seri Kembangan

SERDANG: Three men, including a woman’s ex-boyfriend and her so-called adoptive brother, have been detained in connection with the murder of the woman whose body was found in Seri Kembangan on Wednesday (Oct 29)

The suspects, all locals aged between 25 and 30, were arrested on Thursday following the discovery of the victim’s naked body with her hands bound at Blue Water Estate, Seri Kembangan.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Muhamad Farid Ahmad said police are still tracking down several other individuals believed to be connected to the case.

"The woman’s identity has been confirmed as a local following identification by her younger sister,” he said when contacted on Friday.

He added that police are seeking a remand order for the three suspects on Friday to facilitate investigations.

"The victim's family members had earlier lodged a police report over the woman’s disappearance at a police station in Kuala Lumpur.

"The report on her missing status was lodged on Oct 25, four days before her body was found,” ACP Muhamad Farid said.

He added that investigations are being carried out under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The victim, who was about 144cm tall with long, shoulder-length blonde hair, was discovered at around 3.45pm on Oct 29 after a passerby along Jalan Anggerik noticed a foul smell and alerted authorities, leading to the gruesome discovery.
