PETALING JAYA: Arrest warrants have been issued for two men sought to assist in a corruption trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court.
They failed to appear in court on Aug 26, according to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
They have been identified as Amir Shauki Ismail, 34, and Mohd Hizuwan Azman, 36, who are being investigated under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
MACC said efforts to trace both men at their last known addresses were unsuccessful.
"Arrest warrants were issued for both individuals by the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court on Aug 26," it said in a statement on Thursday (Sept 10).
Amir Shauki’s last known address was at Skyblox, Jalan Santuari Utama, Kampung Baru Air Panas, Setapak, while Hizuwan’s last known address was also in the same residential area.
MACC urged anyone with information on the matter to contact investigating officer Mohamad Solehuddin Suhaimi at 013-3955719 or the Kuala Lumpur MACC office at 03-92065000.
