KUALA KANGSAR: Kuala Kangsar Bersatu division deputy chief Datuk Adly Shah Ahmad Tah and eight of the division’s 11 branch leaders on Friday (Sept 11) announced their decision to resign from all party posts and leave Bersatu.
He said the branches were Bunga Raya, Ulu Kenas, Sayong Lembah, Bendang Kering, Senggang, Jerlun, Bukit Residen and Lempor.
Adly Shah said the decision was made after taking into account the political struggle and future of the people of Kuala Kangsar, which he said needed to be pursued through a political platform they had greater confidence in.
"Following this decision, the Kuala Kangsar Bersatu division now has only three of its 11 branches remaining, while Kuala Kangsar Bersatu division secretary Abd Hadi Sabri has also decided to resign.
"More than 100 Bersatu members from Kuala Kangsar are also here today to express their support for the decision,” he told a press conference.
