Cops detain 14-year-old boy in Sabak Bernam over alleged sexual assault of schoolgirl


SHAH ALAM: Police have detained a 14-year-old boy for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl at a school in Sabak Bernam, near here, on Oct 13.

Sabak Bernam OCPD Supt Md Yusoff Ahmad said the incident, involving a 15-year-old victim, allegedly took place during recess at about 9.30am.

"The arrest was made on the same day (Oct 13) at Jalan Parit, Sungai Besar, and the suspect has been remanded for four days from Oct 14," he said in a statement Thursday (Oct 16).

The case is being investigated under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. - Bernama
