Make a concert date with Leon Lai on Dec 6

HONG Kong Cantopop singer Leon Lai will be performing live in Malaysia.

The Leon Live 2025 in Malaysia concert will be held at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, on Dec 6 after a six-year absence, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The Malaysian concert will include a giant laser canopy, ­panoramic 3D effects, ambient lighting and innovative stage design.

Tickets go on sale starting next Friday.

Oriental Daily reported that Gong Cha Singapore chief ­executive officer Kang Puay Seng as saying that they are no longer the franchisee of the Gong Cha brand, effective last Wednesday.

According to his statement, he assured all stakeholders that any issues arising from the closure will be ­handled responsibly and fairly.

> Oriental Daily also reported that a 21-year-old woman in Taichung, Taiwan, died of ­starvation after being confined at home by her mother.

The body was found severely emaciated, with peeling skin. She was believed to have been dead for four to five days.

Police investigations revealed that the victim, who dropped out in her second year of high school, was fed as little as one meal every three days after being confined.

The victim had previously attempted to run away but was severely beaten.

The mother, who had a history of domestic violence for locking up her mother-in-law 23 years ago, was accused of abuse ­resulting in death and was ordered to be detained and barred from ­receiving visitors by the court.
