SERDANG: Malaysia’s breathtaking landscapes, from golden beaches and lush rainforests to majestic mountains and hidden caves, will take centre stage at The Great Outdoor Expo 2025 (TGO), one of the signature highlights of the upcoming Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia (KCCM).
Happening from Oct 3 to 5 at MAEPS, Serdang, the event will take adventure and eco-tourism to the next level.
From camping gear showcases and thrilling activities to nature-inspired travel deals, the expo promises an action-packed experience for outdoor lovers.
The event is a key highlight of KCCM, a nationwide initiative by Star Media Group in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia to promote domestic tourism.
Alongside the adventure showcase, visitors can also enjoy exclusive travel packages, authentic makanan warisan (heritage food), and family-friendly activities, making it an all-in-one celebration of Malaysia’s landscapes, culture, and lifestyle.
Adventure awaits
The Great Outdoor segment will spotlight Malaysia’s rich eco-tourism and adventure attractions.
Interactive exhibits from state tourism boards will highlight Pahang’s pristine beaches, Sabah’s diving havens, and Sarawak’s rainforest trails and many more.
Adventure enthusiasts can also explore the latest camping gear, outdoor equipment, fishing gear and participate in activities such as mini climbing walls, zipline experiences and others. For those keen on sustainable travel, eco-friendly exhibitors will introduce glamping resorts, eco-villages, and national park escapes.
Beyond nature
While outdoor thrills will take centre stage, the carnival offers much more. Food lovers can indulge in a spread of traditional favourites – from kampung classics to festive delicacies and street food staples – celebrating flavours that unite Malaysians.
Exclusive travel deals available only at the carnival will cover heritage city tours, cultural trails, island retreats and wellness escapes, making it easier than ever to plan the next family holiday.
Explore. Experience. Excite.
At the heart of the TGO, visitors will also be treated to Star Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia (SKCCM), which carries the theme “Explore. Experience. Excite.”
SKCCM adds a vibrant layer to TGO by encouraging Malaysians to uncover hidden gems, immerse themselves in authentic cultural experiences and rekindle their passion for travel.
Its showcases – from heritage food and cultural performances to curated travel packages – complement TGO’s outdoor and adventure attractions, creating a well-rounded experience for all.
Together, TGO and SKCCM form part of the build-up to Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), preparing the nation to showcase its culture, heritage and natural wonders to the world.
By sparking interest in domestic travel today, the events also support local businesses while building momentum for Malaysia’s global stage in 2026.
A platform for connection
Beyond entertainment, KCCM creates opportunities for state tourism boards, travel operators, food entrepreneurs and outdoor brands to connect directly with thousands of potential travellers.
This lively carnival setting helps businesses gain visibility while encouraging Malaysians to explore more of their own backyard.
An event for everyone
Whether you are an adventure seeker, foodie or simply looking for a fun day out with the family, the TGO promises something for everyone.
From reconnecting with nature to savouring heritage food and grabbing unbeatable travel deals – it’s an event not to be missed.
Mark your calendars for Oct 3 to 5. Head to MAEPS Serdang, step into the expo and rediscover Malaysia’s beauty, diversity and spirit.
