SERDANG: Nature enthusiasts are thronging The Great Outdoor (TGO) Expo 2025 as it returns this year with bigger attractions and exciting activities.

Among them is Azian Abd Aziz who found out about the event on social media and decided to visit TGO 2025 with her husband.

“We are both hikers and we love events that promote outdoor activities. I found this expo and wanted to check out the brands and promotions they are offering.

“I bought some products at the expo. There are so many brands I have yet to discover,” said the 58-year-old lecturer.

Another visitor, Nureen Hazirah Mohd Hashidin, 31, said her family is planning a camping event to celebrate her son’s birthday.

“My husband shared about the expo and we decided to drop by because there are activities for my son and we can check out camping products.

“There were also ‘glamping’ packages offered by travel companies here. We were able to book a package at an affordable rate,” she said.

Outdoor enthusiast Jonathan David, 42, also returned to the expo to check out new vendors and activities.

“I had a great time at the first expo. There are not many outdoor expos that gather vendors and brands where nature enthusiasts can visit.

“One of my focus for this year’s expo is to check out the 4x4 activity to test-drive the vehicles,” he said.

Wheelcorp Old Klang Road outlet manager Steve Ang said visitors can test the Toyota Hilux through the Adventure Trail.

“They can test-drive and experience handling the Toyota Hilux in various situations, such as a 90-degree hill, wading through water and so on.

“At the expo, visitors can also get special discounts and rebates as well as service vouchers for the Toyota Hilux,” he added.

Something visitors can look forward to is a chance to drift with professional racer and drifter Zen Low.

“This expo would allow the younger generation not only to take time off their screens but also to get the chance to try and learn about drifting. It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and learn something new,” he said.

One vendor, VR Motorhome and Caravan Sdn Bhd’s Sam Tee, said exhibitions like TGO 2025 give vendors the opportunity to offer special promotions.

“Through events like this, we are able to show our units to visitors and offer good promotions on rentals for our caravans to first-time customers.

“Visitors are also able to check out our customised units and survey the best unit for them for their next vacation,” he said.

The three-day Great Outdoor Expo 2025 will run until today at MAEPS Serdang. Visitors stand the chance to bring home exclusive lucky draw prizes, such as vouchers, outdoor gear, holiday packages and e-bikes, among others.
