Small fire breaks out at cinema in Putrajaya mall


PUTRAJAYA: A small fire broke out at a cinema in a mall here.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis confirmed the incident.

"The fire occurred in IOI City Mall. It involved a kitchen at the cinema, which was about 30% burnt.

"However the fire was fully extinguished before firefighters arrived," he said.

GSC, in a statement on its Facebook page, confirmed that "unforeseen circumstances" had occurred.

It added that as at press time, the cinema has resumed operations.
