SEPTEMBER 14 holds double significance for actor Fattah Amin (pic) – it’s both his birthday and the day he married singer Amira Othman, Berita Harian reported.
“Thank God everything went smoothly.
“Actually, preparations for the solemnisation ceremony were done at the last minute,” he said.
Amira, who is now a stepmother to Fattah’s daughter Nur Fatima Aisya (from his previous marriage to celebrity Fazura), said she accepted Fattah with an open heart.
The ceremony saw Nur Fatima sitting by her father’s side.
On honeymoon plans, Amira said she is choosing to keep the location a secret.
> The premier of his new movie Magik Rompak is a bittersweet experience for actor Sharnaaz Ahmad as he recalled the loss of his father Datuk Basir Ahmad, who passed away last November, Kosmo! reported.
“My father was in critical health and eventually died when I was filming the movie.
“Two scenes (in the movie) made me really sad. The first was the opening scene showing me standing on a container. That was when I was told he was critically ill.
“The second scene is a flashback when I was supposed to depict feeling empty and lost. That was real as it was filmed two days after my father died,” said Sharnaaz, who previously starred in the hit movie Blood Brothers: Bara Naga.
He also saluted director Adrian Teh, whom he regards as one of his closest friends.
“He told me that he would regret it if he didn’t let me see my father. Thus, I managed to be by his side in his last days.
“The cost for the movie set was RM100,000 daily. He (Adrian) was willing to suffer a loss for the sake of family,” he added.
