King, Queen grace 2025 National Day celebrations

PUTRAJAYA: The sound of trumpets and cheers from the crowds greeted the arrival of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, at the 2025 National Day celebration here on Sunday (Aug 31).

He was joined by Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia. The pair arrived in a stylish blue Proton Satria Neo R3.

His Majesty was escorted by the Johor Military Forces along with the armed forces and police all the way to Dataran Putrajaya.

They were greeted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who then escorted them into the VIP stands.

The sound of horns and cheers from thousands of Malaysians could be heard as he arrived, followed shortly by a live orchestral rendition of the national anthem, Negaraku.
