Pentarama Merdeka@HOHO tour performance captivates early arrivals in Putrajaya for National Day

PUTRAJAYA: The National Day 2025 celebrations kicked off with excitement as the Pentarama Merdeka@HOHO performance, featuring the KL Hop On Hop Off (HOHO) buses, captivated visitors at two stops - the Dorsett Hotel and Dataran Putrajaya on Saturday (Aug 30) night.

Early arrivals in Putrajaya for the National Day parade were entertained by Pentarama artists, with many joining in the singing while waving Jalur Gemilang.

Saturday night's Pentarama Merdeka@HOHO was graced by Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa and Information Department (Japen) director-general Julina Johan.

Organised by Japen, the programme features informational content with patriotic messages delivered through songs, dance, pantomime performances, and interactive segments, which were a hit with visitors who have thronged Putrajaya since early evening.

The specially decorated HOHO buses, themed for National Day, served as backdrops for visitors to take selfies and pictures with family and friends.

The Pentarama Merdeka@HOHO also serves as a casual platform to convey statehood messages, helping the audience understand the true meaning of independence.

The tour is part of the 2025 National Month celebrations in Putrajaya, supported by various government agencies and strategic partners.

The 2025 National Day celebrations, themed "Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni", will begin at 7am on Sunday (Aug 31), featuring a parade with 14,062 participants from 81 contingents, 508 land and air assets, seven floats, 116 service animals, and 21 bands.

Visitors will also enjoy a performance by national songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin, who will sing the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) theme song, "Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni". – Bernama
