Police interview three over fatal fall of boy in Kota Damansara

KUALA LUMPUR: The police have recorded statements from three individuals in connection with the tragic death of a three-year-old boy who fell from the sixth floor of an apartment in Kota Damansara last Thursday (Aug 21).

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja'afar confirmed that the three individuals involved are the boy's uncle, aunt and the mother's friend. However, the mother's statement has not yet been recorded as she was in Perak handling her son's funeral arrangements.

In addition to the mother, three other witnesses, including neighbours who heard the sound of the fall, are being questioned.

"The investigating officer is still in the process of completing the investigation. The investigation papers will be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor once all necessary actions have been completed," he said in a statement on Sunday (Aug 24).

The incident, which occurred at 4.42pm, was reported when the victim, who was discovered on the pedestrian path, was believed to have fallen from the upper floor of the apartment building. – Bernama
