Not nice: 69-year-old man trapped in car after road accident in Perak


IPOH: A 69-year-old man was trapped inside his car after it collided with another vehicle at Jalan Seberang Perak Changkat Lada Kg Gajah in Perak.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department acting assistant operations director Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah said that the distressing call was received at 12.12pm on Saturday (Aug 23).

“The accident involved a car driven by a 69-year-old man, who was trapped inside, and another car driven by a 28-year-old man.

“The victim was successfully rescued and handed over to Health Ministry personnel for further treatment,” he said in a statement.

He added that the operation commander conducted an assessment and applied the SAVER concept, directing firefighters to use hydraulic rescue equipment to free the trapped victim.

“The operation was brought under control at 12.40pm and fully completed by 1.03pm,” he added.
