TUMPAT: Police have recorded a statement from a doctor in his 60s in connection with the arrest of his wife and two sons, who are suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and possession of a firearm at a bungalow in Ketereh here recently.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said police were satisfied with the investigation conducted so far.
"At the time of the raid, the doctor was not at home and claimed he was unaware of the activities taking place at his residence," he told a press conference at the General Operations Force Tactical Headquarters in Pengkalan Kubor here on Monday (Aug 11).
On Tuesday, police arrested two stepbrothers along with their mother and seized 35kg of compressed ganja as well as a pistol with ammunition and casings at the house in Kampung But at 4.30am.
The male suspects, aged 24 and 34, work as assistants at their father's clinic, while the 46-year-old woman is a housewife. - Bernama
