MetMalaysia warns of bad weather in most parts of country until 6pm (Aug 10)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned about thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in most parts of the country until 6pm on Sunday (Aug 10).

In a statement on Sunday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perlis, Kedah (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Kulim and Bandar Baharu), Penang, Perak, Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Baru, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang and Pasir Puteh), Terengganu (Besut), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin), Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak and Petaling), Kuala Lumpur, and Johor (Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru).

The department also warned of bad weather in Sarawak: Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian, Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya), Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Song), Miri (Telang Usan) and Limbang and in Sabah: Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), West Coast and Sandakan (Sandakan) until 6:0pm on Sunday.
