Man, 25, killed after motorcycle crashes into road divider on Johor expressway


JOHOR BARU: A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a road divider on an expressway here.

Seri Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the incident occurred at KM30.4 of the E22 Senai-Desaru Expressway at around 10am on Saturday (Aug 2).

“The male victim was travelling from the E22 Senai-Desaru Expressway heading towards Desaru.

"He lost control of his motorcycle before hitting the road divider along the left side of the road," he said, adding that the victim died on the spot due to severe internal injuries.

He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

He reminded road users to remain patient and always adhere to traffic laws and regulations.

Witnesses with information about the incident are also urged to contact the police at 07-3864222 to assist in investigation.
