Man found dead in storeroom of Sandakan home


SANDAKAN: A 25-year-old man has been found dead in the storeroom of his Kampung Sim Sim home here.

Sandakan OCPD Asst Comm George Abd Rakman said police were alerted at 9.33pm on Tuesday (July 22) by a family member who discovered the body.

A team from the district police headquarters and the Criminal Investigation Department was immediately dispatched to the scene, he added in a statement on Wednesday (July 23).

The deceased, a local, is believed to have been suffering from health issues.

The body has been sent to the Forensic Unit of Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan for a post-mortem. Police are continuing investigations.
