Haze: Unhealthy API recorded at seven locations nationwide


PETALING JAYA: Seven locations nationwide have recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as at 1.40pm on Monday (July 21).

According to the Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) website, Alor Gajah in Melaka had an API reading of 158; followed by Temerloh in Pahang (154); Kemaman in Terengganu (154); Banting and Johan Setia in Selangor (153 and 152); Balok Baru Kuantan in Pahang (133) and Cheras in Kuala Lumpur (119).

An API reading of 0-50 is categorised as good; 51-100 as moderate; 101-200 as unhealthy; 201-300 as very unhealthy; and anything above 300 is hazardous.
