King walks 3.2km to inspect KL's Jalan Gallagher, highlights litter, clogged drains


KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, personally inspected the cleanliness of Jalan Gallagher here by walking 3.2km.

According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim's official Facebook page, His Majesty noted the clogged drains and litter scattered along the roadside during the surprise inspection.

His Majesty urged local authorities to take immediate action to ensure the area remains clean and safe.

"Littering by the roadside not only serves as a breeding ground for Aedes mosquitoes but can also affect the health of the residents in the surrounding area.

"I also observed large tree branches overhanging the road, which could pose a danger to the public, especially motorcyclists at night," His Majesty remarked.

Accompanying Sultan Ibrahim on the walk were the Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Istana Negara Tan Sri Azmi Rohani; Datuk Paduka Maharaja Lela Istana Negara Datuk Azuan Effendy Zairakithnaini; and several staff members.
