Sabah aims for 100% local hiring in oil and gas sector

KOTA KINABALU: A 100% increase in oil and gas services and equipment (OGSE) local job contracts for Sabahan companies has been planned for the state this year, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said the state government devised the plan in collaboration with Petronas and industry partners. The goal was to have 100% of non-technical roles and at least 80% of technical roles in the OGSE sector filled by Sabahans.
