Communications Ministry to boost strategic ties with police, says Fahmi

KUALA LUMPUR: The Communications Ministry will continue to strengthen its strategic cooperation with the police in delivering accurate information to the people, says Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil (pic).

In a Facebook post, Fahmi said the strategic partnership also includes efforts to effectively address communication challenges in the digital era.

Earlier on Thursday (July 2), Fahmi received a courtesy call from Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail at his office in Putrajaya.

Bernama reported Mohd Khalid as saying that the police would continue to enhance cooperation with the Communications Ministry, particularly in tackling the spread of false and illegal information on social media to safeguard national and public security. - Bernama
