IPOH: Eleven people narrowly escaped death when a double-decker bus they were on crashed into the rear of a tow truck at KM311 northbound on the North-South Expressway near Tapah.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said nine passengers and the assistant bus driver were unharmed, but the bus driver was injured during the incident on Thursday (June 12) at about 1.28am.
"The 29-year-old bus driver was trapped in the driver’s seat. The driver and attendant of the tow truck were also unharmed," he said in a statement.
"The bus driver was freed and was found to have sustained injuries to his right leg. He was handed over to the Health Ministry personnel for further action," he added.
