PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will record a statement from Datuk Jovian Mandagie, the former son-in-law of Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, in the ongoing investigation into the former prime minister.
Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said at a press conference at the MACC headquarters today that Datuk Jovian Mandagie's statement is expected to be recorded within two weeks.
"Jovian is based in Indonesia and we need to record his statement to confirm assets declared by Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
"There were some assets mentioned in Ismail Sabri’s statement that we need to verify. I believe it will be done within a week or two.
"Investigations are expected to be completed by the end of June, after which we will refer the case to the DPP for further action. If there is enough evidence to charge, we will suggest doing so," he said.
