Man, 61, killed in Ipoh house fire


IPOH: A 61-year-old man was found dead after a fire destroyed his house in Kampung Tebing Tinggi here on Sunday (May 18).

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the victim was found in the kitchen area of the house after the firefighting operation at about 3am.

"The remains have been handed over to the police for further action.

"The operation ended at about 5.45am," he said in a statement.
