A VIDEO of a woman being shoved in public and dragged along an asphalt road by a man has sparked concerns over her safety, China Press reported.
The video, believed to have been recorded on May 13 in a neighbourhood in Sibu, Sarawak, depicted a man arguing with his presumed girlfriend.
It was reported that the woman intended to end the relationship, which provoked him and triggered a fit of rage.
The man forcefully pushed the woman to the ground and dragged her along the road.
The woman attempted to escape multiple times, only to be forcibly restrained by the man.
When she tried to defend herself, the man struck her on the head.
The struggle drained the woman’s strength, allowing the man to lift her up and carry her away.
After viewing the video, numerous Internet users expressed concerns about the woman’s safety.
However, other netizens criticised the individual who filmed the incident, arguing that he should have intervened to assist the woman.
