Cops: Woman thrown from van is not Pamela

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman who died after allegedly being thrown out of a van was not the missing Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh, says Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Aidil Bolhassan.

“The victim was a 44-year-old woman from Ipoh. I can confirm that she is not Pamela Ling,” he said in a statement yesterday.

He said a witness had told the police that the victim was thrown out of a van at around 2.30pm yesterday along the Kesas Highway near the Awan Besar R&R complex.

The van was then seen speeding off.

He said the woman was found dead at the scene, adding that a post-mortem would be conducted.

The disappearance of Pamela, 42, who was supposedly on her way to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters on April 9, had been widely reported of late.
