Cops cut power to three online gambling houses in Kluang


KLUANG: Electrical supply to three premises here has been disconnected for alleged involvement in online gambling activities.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said the operation was jointly conducted with the Kluang police Criminal Investigation Department and Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

“The operation took place on Tuesday (May 6) between 10am and 1.45pm,’’ he said in a statement on Wednesday (May 7).

Bahrin said the action to disconnect the power supply to the three premises was taken under Section 21A (1) of the Open House Gambling 1953.

He urged those with information on illegal online activities in the district to go to the nearest police station or contact the Kluang Police Contingent headquarter at 07-7784222, Direct Line 07-7784256; Hotline: 07-7766822 or 0143656822 (Tablet DCC).
