Zaliha: More time needed to refine processes

KUALA LUMPUR: Nominations for the PKR central leadership posts have been postponed to streamline procedures and accommodate recent amendments to the party’s constitution, says Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa (pic).

The PKR central election committee chairman said the decision was made jointly by the committee to ensure smooth preparations ahead of the party congress scheduled this month.

“With the new constitutional amendments, several processes need to be refined. That’s why we needed additional time to prepare, and we are working closely with the secretary-general’s office,” she told reporters after launching the Residensi Kecapi project in Sentul yesterday.

Dr Zaliha added that the committee had recently held discussions with international auditors over two to three days to review the party’s election procedures.
