Ayer Kuning polls: Increased voter support across all communities for Barisan, says Ahmad Zahid

GUA MUSANG: Barisan Nasional recorded increased support across various ethnic groups in Saturday’s (April 26) Ayer Kuning state by-election, despite analyses claiming that the party’s candidate did not secure overwhelming backing, says its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The Umno president said that in reality, only one polling district centre showed a reduction in votes, by 88 votes, while the others were fully reclaimed by Barisan.
