Penang cops bust drug syndicate, arrest two suspects


GEORGE TOWN: Police busted a cannabis trafficking syndicate that has been active since the beginning of this year by arresting two local men and seizing RM68,000 worth of marijuana in three raids around the Seberang Perai Tengah (SPT) district on Friday.

Penang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad said the raid was carried out by a team of personnel from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of the Penang Police Headquarters through a planned operation from 3 to 7pm.
