MALAYSIA'S renowned supermarket chain NSK Group is set to welcome Taiwan's Yunlin local brand – Yunlin Goods – to set up a special section bringing 17 high-quality agricultural processed products to Malaysian consumers.
The launch and memorandum signing ceremony was held recently at NSK Grocer in 3 Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The Yunlin County Government, in collaboration with Yumei Biotec Corporation and GEO Informatics Inc., will establish Yunlin Goods sections in over 50 NSK Group stores.
NSK Group chairman Lim Chou Bu expressed his delight in partnering with Yunlin Goods, stating that the products on display are carefully selected for Malaysian consumers and hopes for strong support.
“As a supermarket chain closest to people's lives, we are committed to meeting the shopping needs of different ethnic groups and providing high-quality and affordable products,” said Lim.
NSK Grocer executive director Loh Teck Wah revealed that the group will set up the Yunlin Goods sections in NSK Trade City and NSK Grocer stores, and is considering expanding the product range in the future to allow more consumers to enjoy Yunlin's delicacies.
Currently, the Yunlin Goods section features specialty products such as crispy peanuts from Huwei Farmers' Association, salty yolk flake pastry and roasted seaweed from Shang Feng Global Enterprise Co. Ltd, rice crackers from EsunNew Co. Ltd, sweet potato chips from Uncle Sweet Co. Ltd, seaweed chips from Taiwan Food Industry Co. Ltd, and fruit jelly from Feng HSI Food Corp.
Yunlin County magistrate Chang Li-Shan pointed out that through the establishment of the Yunlin Goods section by NSK Group, both parties can deepen brand exchanges and promote more Yunlin delicacies internationally.
She hopes NSK Group will continue to expand its reach, thereby increasing the brand exposure of the Yunlin Goods section and providing local consumers with more high-quality choices.
