KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood evacuees in Sabah’s interior has increased to 687 people from 191 families, following the declaration of Sook as a flood-affected area.

Both Nabawan and Sook have been hit by floods due to continuous rainfall over the past several days, leading to the opening of eight temporary evacuation centres.
