Sabah civil servants to receive RM1,000 special aid for Aidilfitri, Kaamatan

KOTA KINABALU: The State government has agreed to give RM1,000 special aid to state civil servants in view of the coming Hari Raya and Kaamatan celebrations.

State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said these payments would be made twice, the first RM500 for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the second RM500 for Kaamatan.

He said this decision was agreed upon in the state cabinet meeting on Wednesday (March 26).

He said the special payout was expected to be made very soon for Aidilitri.

“The state government wishes to thank all civil servants and hopes this special aid will encourage them to improve their services to the people and carry out their responsibilities better,” said Masidi.

Hari Raya is expected to fall on either March 31 or April 1, while Kaamatan is on May 30 and May 31.
