Police report lodged against motivational speaker over alleged child sexual harassment


KANGAR: Police have received a report regarding an allegation of sexual harassment of a child by a motivational speaker.

Perlis police chief Deputy Comm Hamzah Hashim said the report was lodged at 2.09am on Friday and the case is being investigated under Section 12 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

"If convicted, the offender can be jailed up to five years and may also be liable to caning," he said in a statement on Friday (Oct 2).

He urged other victims who may have had contact with the motivational speaker to come forward and lodge police reports.
