> Hong Kong TVB actor Niklas Lam is working three jobs and skimping on food in the hope of owning his own home one day, Sin Chew Daily reported.
The 30-year-old also works part-time as a social worker and a private tutor.
Lam revealed that he once had five part-time jobs at the same time.
“I don’t have that much time any more. Right now, I am able to only juggle two.
“My main role being a social worker is to organise school campaigns to warn students of the dangers of drugs.
“My second part-time job is tutoring children,” he said.
The actor, who often takes on “good boy” roles on TV, was recently seen picking up choy sum (sawi) worth HK$4 (RM2.30) at a wet market in Chai Wan.
When interviewed, Lam said he was getting ingredients for his mum to cook dinner.
He said this was how they saved money, adding that he hopes to have enough funds to buy his own house on the island.
