Low Kian Chian appointed new MCBC chairman


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) welcomed its new chairman following the appointment of Senator Tan Sri Low Kian Chuan (pic) by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Low brings a wealth of experience in international trade and diplomacy through his experience as Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), where he served as president.

He was also the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) vice-president.

Under his leadership, Low hopes to further strengthen MCBC’s role in fostering economic and business ties between Malaysia and China.

“His leadership is expected to drive strategic collaborations, enhance bilateral investments, and support initiatives that benefit businesses in both nations.

“The MCBC remains committed to promoting mutual growth and cooperation under his guidance,” it said in a statement on Thursday. (March 20).
