Over 1,000 attend Iftar event with PM in Tampin


TAMPIN: More than 1,000 attendees enlivened the Iftar event with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), at Padang Serbaguna Tampin here on Sunday (March 16).

Anwar, who arrived at 7pm, was welcomed by Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun and Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar was also present.

The Prime Minister also listened to a brief five-minute religious talk before breaking fast and performed the Maghrib prayer in congregation thereafter.

Earlier, the Prime Minister chaired a Special Negeri Sembilan Development Meeting at the Tampin District Council, attended by the Menteri Besar, the Chief Secretary to the Government, as well as state and federal government leaders. – Bernama
