PARIS, ⁠March 23 (Reuters) - Former ‌French Socialist Prime Minister Lionel Jospin ​died at ⁠age 88, ⁠broadcaster BFM reported.

Jospin ⁠was ‌head of ⁠government under the centre-right ​President ‌Jacques Chirac ⁠from ​1997 to 2002 during ⁠cohabitation, a term ​used in France when the ⁠president and the prime minister come from ​opposing ⁠camps.
