Siti Nurhaliza happy King Charles picked her song

DATUK Seri Siti Nurhaliza (pic) was initially sceptical when she learnt that her song Anta Permana was selected by King Charles III for this year’s Commonwealth Day celebrations, believing it to be fake news.

It was only after confirmation from Apple Music and Universal Music Malaysia that the renowned songstress was convinced it was genuine, Kosmo! reported.

“I am glad and thankful to learn that Anta Permana is, in fact, among the songs selected by King Charles. Alhamdulillah, there’s a song from Malaysia,” she said.

The Biduanita Negara, 46, said this proves that the Malaysian music scene has its own uniqueness.

She also described the recognition as among her best achievements in her music career.

Other featured artistes in the British monarch’s list include Bob Marley and The Wailers, Kylie Minogue and Michael Buble.

> The daily also reported that actress Ellie Suriaty, 54, has given influencer Imran Bard up till April to apologise in person, after the latter allegedly tarnished her image.

“I will not stay silent on this. When you are an influencer, you can have an impact on society.

“He should have met me even before the fasting month but he said he was in his hometown. I will give him until Hari Raya to meet me and if this doesn’t happen, I will take the matter up with the Malaysian Artistes’ Association,” Ellie said.

This comes after Imran, 23, uploaded several supposedly satirical videos on social media allegedly acting as a singing competition’s jury member and mentioned Ellie’s name, implying she had a connection with banned substances.

He later issued a public apology over the matter.

> Ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year, Adami Hairi Md Isa is looking to refurbish his family home in Jasin, Melaka, Harian Metro reported.

“It is more than 40 years old and I have many memories there. My siblings and I were raised in the house and my mother still lives there.

“When my father was around, I expressed interest in doing this but he opposed it, saying it was a waste of money,” said the 35-year-old, whose father passed away two years ago.

Adami Hairi said he is planning to complete the work in time for the celebration as all members of the family will be gathering there.
