Man, 85, filmed driving against traffic on Second Link assists police probe


ISKANDAR PUTERI: A senior citizen filmed driving against traffic on the Second Link Expressway has given his statement to the police.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said the 85-year-old man went to the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division on Thursday (March 13).

"Police investigation found that the driver had wrongly entered the opposite direction lane while heading back to his house in Tampoi, Johor Baru," he said in a statement.

ACP Kumarasan said the man had exited Gelang Patah and went to Mutiara Rini after running low on fuel.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He urged those with information to contact the district's traffic division at 07-510 1322.
