Biker dies falling off DASH expressway due to crash


PETALING JAYA: A 30-year-old female motorcycle rider was killed following an accident, which caused her to be flung to the bottom of a flyover along the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH).

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja'afar said the incident occurred at about 6.50pm on Tuesday (Feb 25).

"The victim was believed to have lost control of her vehicle before colliding with a car in front before she was flung into the bottom of the flyover.

"The victim died at the scene," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 26).

The case is classified under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987, he said.

"We urged those who witnessed the incident or with information on it to contact Traffic Investigating Officer Insp Muhammad Huysam Azih at 017-7378704," he said.
