Safety should always be the number one priority for all road users, including pedestrians.
Did a man "fall" in front of an oncoming car at the Batu Lanchang flyover recently?
VERDICT:

TRUE
A foreign man seen in a viral video apparently falling onto the middle of the Batu Lanchang flyover road here is believed to have mental health issues, said northeast OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rozak Muhammad.
He said police found that the man, believed to be a Myanmar national without valid travel documents, had been detained in connection with a separate house trespassing case in Jalan Kurau, Jelutong.
“Initial investigations found that the suspect is believed to have mental health issues.
“The incident actually occurred on the Batu Lanchang flyover at 4.16pm on Friday (Aug 28).
“There were no casualties reported in the incident,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
ACP Abdul Rozak said police detected the 22-second video circulating on social media, showing the man suddenly falling onto the road and nearly being hit by a vehicle.
He said the case was being investigated under Section 448 of the Penal Code and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
He also advised the public against making unfounded speculation about the video, which could cause concern among road users.
