Number of evacuees drop in Sarawak but Sabah, Johor register slight increase


KUALA LUMPUR: The number of flood evacuees housed at temporary evacuation centres (PPS) in Sarawak has dropped, while Sabah and Johor recorded an increase as of 8pm on Wednesday (Feb 5).

In SARAWAK, the Sarawak Disaster Management Secretariat said the number of evacuees dropped to 5,125 from 5,281 on Wednesday afternoon, with Sarikei being the latest to be affected by the disaster, thus opening a relief centre, bringing the total number of relief centres to 30.
