KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a report filed by comedian Along Cham's wife, Afreena Suhaimi, regarding an alleged fund fraud.
Director of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK), Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, stated that the report was made by the woman in Kajang, Selangor.
"The woman made the report claiming she was deceived by someone.
"The case is being investigated by the police," he said on Wednesday (Jan 29).
Earlier, Sinar Harian reported that Afreena filed a police report on Tuesday (Jan 28) after claiming she was defrauded by an individual involving RM95,180.
In an Instagram post, Afreena also expressed her belief that the truth would be revealed following the report.
Previously, media outlets reported that Along, also known as Muhammad Nizamudin Ahmad, 42, accused his wife of misappropriating nearly RM100,000 in public donations received from fellow artists.
