Boy killed, family injured


KUANTAN: A 12-year-old boy was killed while five of his family members were seriously injured after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into the back of a parked lorry at KM164.7 of the East Coast Expressway, heading east.

Maran OCPD Supt Wong Kim Wai said that in the 1am accident yesterday, Muhammad Al Amin Mohd Adil, who was in the front passenger seat, was confirmed dead at the scene.

The lorry driver had parked on the emergency lane to change a flat tyre and safety cones were placed behind the vehicle.
